These photos were taken on the Dexter Trail starting from downtown Dexter, Michigan. Everything seems perfect in these two photos. The tree line background accentuates the foreground in both photos. The the mid day sun was shining down on the budding tree branches and grasses, making everything sparkle and shimmer. The angles were perfect, and the texture was flawless. I could not have asked for a better shot on both of these. I added the pink color layers to make this picture really stand out. Spring brings a tone of pink to many living things that are blossoming again after a long Winter's sleep.

These two photos were also taken on the Dexter Trail in Dexter, Michigan in the mid day Sun. I truly love the way the light hits the tall grasses because they blend in with the trees in the background, giving the picture a more expansive look and feel. I also love the amazing clear sky. It really brings out the detail in the picture, and is a key factor in both of these images. I created a darker, spookier image to show how the light can make even the simplest forms appear scary. Even though Spring is a time of rebirth and joy for many of us, these pictures show that there is still a dark side.

These photos were taken Up North in Boyne City, Michigan. I absolutely get lost in these two photos. I took these photos last Summer during a hike through my favorite trails. These two photos were extremely difficult to take because the sun was right above the trees and the rays were shining down and distorting my view. I managed to get two great angles, and I believe they really show the beauty of Summer. Green is one of m favorite colors, especially the shades of green shown in both images. I believe green is a healing and rejuvenating color. When I look at these images, I feel happy, especially knowing that Summer is just around the corner. I used a bit of blue and green in these images to make the tree lines more defined and the contrast greater between the trees and the sky.

These photos were also taken at the beginning of the Dexter Trail in Dexter, Michigan. These two photos represent two different seasons. The one on the left represents Fall, and the one on the right represents the Spring. I added more red to the picture on the left to show the death of the plants and trees, and I added more green to the photo on the right to show the rebirth of those plants. I am really beginning to appreciate how light and color change the tone of a picture, and create a different feeling for the viewer.

These photos were the last set of landscape photos that I took pictures of on the Dexter Trail. I am not happy with the outcome of the photo on the right. It quite honestly would have been better without any filters or added color. I loved how the green came out in the picture on the left. I used the appropriate filters to bring out the amazing detail within the picture. I was experimenting with both of these photos, and messed up the photo on the right.
